I was very happy that we only stayed three nights and not more.
The bed was horrible. We tried three rooms and selected the "best". One non-smoking room was full of smoke. Our room had a dirty rug, dirty floor in the bathroom, and the bed was horrible. I will never be back, and will stay in another hotel when we visit family. I will gladly pay more for a clean room and a good bed.
I liked the very low price of the room. It was thee lowest in the surrounding area. I liked that I could stay in the city I wanted to stay in, with various restaurant options, free parking, nearby nightclubs/grills/bars, grocery stores, pharmacies, freeways, and main streets. I had the option of cancelling room service and only accept towels as I needed. The price thru Booked.net was the cheapest and to my surprise, when I checked in, they brought the price down even lower and gave me rack room rate. Wi fi was super cheap for 24 hour access, just pay daily or pay for the days you will need.
San dimas is quiet, clean, family friendly, western themed yet modern town but I felt a bit unsafe checking in because many of the upstairs guests were smoking and just hanging out in the balcony, watching over the parking lot, they see who checks in, alone or just girls? The luggage and belongings that come out of which car and go into which room and I also saw alot of shady people walking thru the parking and way too many visitors popping in, loud throughout the night. People yelling at 730 am as well. Front desk said housekeeping comes certain days and that I can cancel service by calling. I told housekeeping I already called to cancel her and she said she comes daily but if I cancel, I wont get anything at all. So now I hang around till 230pm to make sure im here for my towels I guess...as for the price, I booked 6 night but found out I needed 2 more nights, they extended my low price but told me if I added any more days after these, the price would go up, wow, punish me for giving them more business. Guess what? Escrow needs yet another week more to close, and im not paying more here for the same room, so I am switching to another place, packing again so I can save money. The non smoking rooms somehow smell of smoke thru the ac. The entire room needed cleaning, I needed to buy cleaner to disinfect the bathroom, doors, knobs, sink, counter, toilet, bathroom floor, tv and remote, walls and that's only because you could see old food, grime, ??, etc. as I scooted the bed to make it, I found an old burger king paper bag under the bed, I didnt dare look to see what else was under. We went through 2 bottles of febreeze for the bedding, curtains, and carpet daily. My car was dinged on the left passengers door the 3rd. Night but its free parking soooo? Drilling to repair stairs lasted the entire first weekend. Our keycards stopped working at mid week.
